Cheviot Church is a caring group of believers with various backgrounds.
We are blessed to have people who grew up in this church and now have children and grandchildren attending. But some of us never attended church before, and others came from faith traditions outside of the United Methodist Church.
We come together on Sundays to laugh, see friends, and - of course - to worship our God. We also have opportunities throughout the week to gather, too!
Our Pastors and Staff:
Lead pastor since January 2018. Prior to serving at Cheviot UMC, she served for 10 years as the founding pastor of The United Methodist Gathering in Middletown, a church that offered hope to the poor and homeless of the downtown community. Carrie is married to Jeff, a professional stand-up comedian. They have one son, Miles, who is at Ball State majoring in Music Media Production. Carrie's passion is to see people's faith grow and their lives transformed as they come to know and love Jesus Christ.

What We Believe
Below are some of the basics that we believe about God, humanity, and how the world works:
God is bigger and better and closer than we can imagine.
Jesus is God showing himself to us.
Through the Holy Spirit, God lives in and through us now.
Grace is the only way to have a relationship with God.
God wants to have a relationship with you!
Faith is the only way to grow in our relationship with God.
God has allowed evil to provide us with a choice, God can bring good even out of evil events, and God promises victory over evil to those who choose him.
Heaven and hell are real places. Death is a beginning, not the end.
The church is to serve people like Jesus served people.
Jesus is coming again.
God's goal for us is to become more like Jesus.
