Greetings in the name of Jesus, the resurrected Christ! United Methodists are people of faith, people who are willing to adapt and change when faced with difficult times. Resilience. As I preached in an empty sanctuary on Easter Sunday, I thought of pastors across our conference who provided incredible opportunities for people to celebrate Holy Week when gathering in our church buildings was not possible. Resilience. Over the past several weeks, we have all made changes for the safety of others as well as ourselves. And now, out of an abundance of caution, I am writing to inform you that the 51st session of our annual conference has been postponed. This decision was made in cooperation with the leadership at Lakeside, the Annual Conference Planning Team and the cabinet. Resilience. Here is important information you need as we move forward:
Please reserve September 11 and 12 for the business of the annual conference. Information regarding the agenda, location (Columbus area) and other important details will be forthcoming.
Hotels/Cottage Rentals: Starting Monday, April 20, Lakeside staff will contact you directly by phone to process hotel and Lakeside Chautauqua Realty cottage rental cancellations and refunds.
If renting through Street Sotheby’s International Realty or from individual homeowners, please contact them directly about cancellations and refunds. Street Sotheby’s phone number is 419-798-1123.
Group Housing: Starting Monday, April 20, Lakeside staff will contact you directly by phone to process group housing rental cancellations and refunds. Wo-Ho-Mis check reimbursements will be a delayed process.
