Women's Book Club
Women’s Ministries is happy to announce a new women’s book club: The GOOD Book Club of the Month! We meet the last Wednesday of each month in Werner Lounge or the Courtyard. Each month we read a nonfiction book that is spiritually based often revolving around current topics and by more recent authors. Get the book, read it and join us for a spiritual discussion filled with different insights and for sure much laughter!!
We will take a holiday break for November and December.
Looking ahead to January, our selection will be The Gift of Years by Joan Chittister. How do we look at and use our gifts as the years click by? God’s gifts to each of us never cease or fade, but how we use them may be a new adventure as we ponder them with a different insight. A refreshing book on aging in the “second Half of life”.
February selection is Civil Disobedience by Henry David Thoreau. A classic that has shaped many 20th and 21st century leaders. What is there that has made such an impact on them? Join us for what is always a lively discussion!
NOTE NEW TIME 7:00 pm.
We will announce each month whether we will be together via Zoom or in person. An email will be sent with the Zoom Invite instructions. Questions? Contact Vicki Groh, Pam Outt or Mary Ann Jacobs.
